The Ashanti Region minister,Dr Frank Amoakohene has welcomed a new coordinator for the School Feeding Programme, Madam Gloria Korshior Huze.
She recently submitted her appointment letter and reported for duty, receiving a warm welcome. Her key objectives include restoring confidence in the program, expanding its reach to rural schools, and maintaining the quality of meals served to children .
To achieve these goals, Madam Huze has been encouraged to work with sincerity and dedication, fostering open communication with stakeholders. Her leadership is expected to bring positive transformations to the program in the region.
The School Feeding Programme, which began in 2005, currently feeds around 3.5 million children, covering about 57% of national coverage . With Madam Huze at the helm, the program is poised to make significant strides in the Ashanti Region.
