The Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly has donated 20 marker boards to the J.A. Kufuor STEM Technical School as part of efforts to enhance teaching and learning at the institution.

Presenting the items, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Mba A. Zechariah, said the donation was intended to improve the learning environment for the school’s over 1,000 students and teachers.

According to him, education remains a top priority under his administration, stressing the importance of providing a conducive atmosphere for effective teaching and learning.

“We are committed to ensuring that teachers stop writing on walls and rather focus on delivering quality education to our children,” he stated.

Hon. Mba A. Zechariah further assured the school community of the Assembly’s commitment to upgrading the school’s football pitch to modern standards and addressing the challenge of inadequate furniture.

The Headmaster of the J.A. Kufuor STEM Technical School, Mr. Takyi Cosmas, expressed appreciation to the DCE for the timely intervention and commended the collaborative efforts between the District Assembly and the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Frank Yeboah, in safeguarding the school’s interests.

However, Mr. Takyi highlighted some pressing challenges confronting the school, notably the stalled construction of the school building and the acute shortage of furniture.

“We are struggling to provide adequate furniture for our students, and the incomplete construction of the school building remains a major concern,” he said.

He therefore appealed to government, stakeholders, and benevolent organizations to support the school in addressing these challenges to ensure a better and more conducive learning environment for students.
