The Bank of Ghana has convened a two-day residential workshop in Kumasi, aimed at enhancing the capacity of journalists to effectively report on monetary and economic issues.
Held at Veronique Heights Hotel, the workshop brings together media professionals and Bank of Ghana experts to foster a deeper understanding of economic matters.
In his welcome address, Mr. Bernard Otabil, Director of Communications at the Bank of Ghana, emphasized the collaborative spirit between the media and the central bank.
“This workshop represents a valuable partnership between the Bank of Ghana and the media, designed to equip journalists with comprehensive knowledge to accurately report on monetary policy, economic trends, and related issues,” Mr. Otabil stated.
Mr. Otabil underscored the critical role journalists play in promoting national development through informed reporting.
“By empowering journalists with specialized knowledge, we aim to contribute to the nation’s economic growth and stability,” he added.
