Chairman Akwasi Nti blasts Wontumi for allegedly hijacking NPP as his bonafide property

Former Fomena NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. Akwasi Nti has hit the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako hard for taking the NPP as his bonafide property.

He described the administration of Chairman Bernard Antwi Bosiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, as autocratic and a tyrant.

Speaking on Akoma FM and monitored by broadcastergh.com, the outspoken former Constituency Chairman was not happy about the way Chairman Wontumi is handling political issues in the region.

He was of the view that, chairman Wontumi has nurtured babies with sharp teeth in the NPP who bite hard on leaders in the party.

“How can a regional chairman set up a radio station and recruit recalcitrant people to insult the high ranking of the Party leaders and expect the party to win power.

The votes that Dr. Mahamodu Bawumia got in the Fomena constituency in the just ended Presidential elections is the vote of Chairman Wontumi and not Bawumia.

The results from the Fomena constituency must tell you NPP is not ready for election 2024 because Wontumi is not trusted enough and has lost credibility in the region.

The result tells you insult doesn’t win elections.

It is about time Chairman Wontumi is called to order because he doesn’t own NPP.

NPP is not one of his galamsey pits, so he should desist from that kind of autocratic leadership style in the country.

“Wontumi is selfish and tries to take all glories and credit but that is not what NPP was built .

“We have had several chairmen in the Ashanti Region and witnessed their style of administration, but what Wontumi is doing is out of order,” he told Kofi Asante Enin in the interview.

Chairman Akwasi Nti made it clear that NPP will lose in the 2024 general elections if Chairman Wontumi fronts for Dr. Bawumia’s campaign team in the region because he is not a unifier.
