Ashanti Regional Chairman hopeful of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC ), Mr.Yaw Owusu Obimpeh , has congratulated all newly elected party constituency executives who won on the just ended constituency executives elections.
In a statement copied to broadcastergh.com today, he stated that “Congratulations to all newly-elected and constituency executives of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC ), especially those in the Ashanti region.
This is a clear indication that,the party will win the next elections,” Obimpeh said in a statement dated Monday,October 24th, 2022.
He said that, it is time for those who won to reach out to those who lost to see how to bring them on board to form a united front.
“Let’s reach out to each other to see how we can work together as one family. Let’s rise and build together to make sure bring ndc back to power .
“Indeed, the 2024 general election is going to be keenly contested. It is, therefore, important that all NDC members are brought on board to help win the elections,” the statement said.
Chairman Obimpeh, who has been a former Chairman and aspiring to become chairman in Ashanti Region, urged the Ashanti region to lead the unity talks to position the party well for the 2024 elections.
“All party members are aware of the role the Ashanti region plays in our beloved party; particularly in general elections. Indeed, the Ashanti region is the heartbeat of the National Democratic congress”.
“It contributes at least 20% of votes to the party in national elections. For this reason, the Ashanti region must not disappoint. The Ashanti Region must get it right”, the statement added.
He expressed confidence that the best men and women will be elected across the country to lead the party into the 2024 polls.
“I am confident that at the end of all the elections at all levels, the best men and women will be elected to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years”.
“I pray and suggest that those who did not win their positions should take it in good faith and give full support to their counterparts who emerge victorious at the polls”.
“Let’s remember that the ultimate winner is and should be the party and not any individual”.
