Indicating that, government’s decision of introducing community mining was to mined  responsibly and is also part of responsible  small scale mining.
He revealed that, most of the small scale miners didn’t take the community mining serious because of their selfish interest, adding that with  community mining, the community stands to  benefit directly in a way that the youth in the area will be actively involved, especially in those mining areas.
He also deduced that ,the community mining will generate revenue for the various District Assemblies where there’s community mining interns of IGF and also cut down unemployment rate in those areas.
He later called on the government to  do its possible best to ensure that those who have mined without reclamation do so quickly before is too late.

He added that, looking at the current economic situation it is about time the government of Ghana through the various Metro, Municipal and District Assemblies instruct those responsible for the destruction of those lands  to reclaim them without fear or favor.
He spoke about the fact that those exposed pits are now dead traps to commuters, which according to him is killing innocent people.
He said, though, the minister in charge of Lands and Natural Resources,Hon.Samuel Abu Jinapor and his two deputies are   doing their best in the fight against illegal mining and are encouraging community mining, this he believes will help sanitize the mining areas so that community mining will be encouraged for the betterment of the Country.
