CYA Lauds Afua Asantewaa For Making Ashantis Proud

President of Concerned Youth of Asante, Dr Nana Agyenim Boateng, widely known as Gyataba, has congratulated Mrs Afua Asantewaa Aduonum for her tireless efforts to break the Guinness World Record for the longest Sing -A-Thon challenge.

Dr Nana Agyenim Boateng indicated ,Afua’s effort has brought global attention to Asanteman ,Ghana and a chance to showcase the strength, agency, and industry of Ghanaian women.

Afua Asantewaa, a young Ghanaian woman married to Mr Kofi Aduonum,a freelance journalist based in Accra, is on her fifth  day of attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest Sing-A-Thon. She has already broken the existing record and her tenacity is worth celebrating.

Ghana’s Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has already broken the world record for the longest individual singing marathon and still singing to buy more time and space.

In her attempt to break the Guinness world record by Sunil Waghmare, an Indian who sang for 105 hours in March 2012, Afua has been singing Ghanaian songs back-to-back at the Akwaaba village.

Nana Dr Agyepong Boateng and the CYA are much happy about her endurance and her name ‘Asantewaa’ is a symbol of perseverance.
