A defeated National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency in the just ended primaries, Mr. Emmanuel Adansi Bonah has vowed to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 general elections.
Mr. Adansi Bonah, was one of the three people who vied to lead the NDC in the 2024 elections.
This came to light at a Press Briefing at Sefwi Wiawso, addressed by campaign manager for Mr. Adansi, Daniel Mintah Kwarteng.
The keenly contested parliamentary primaries was won by Kofi Bsnteh.
Mr. Adansi Bonah’s campaign team accused the Constituency executives of masterminding the defeat of their chrished Mr. Emmanuel Adansi Bonah.
They intimated that,Mr. Bonah’s victory as an independent candidate will vindicate that the will of the electorate was subverted, but the masses will decide who becomes the next Member of Parliament ( MP) for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency .
According to him, a huge amount of money shared to induce most of the delegates to vote for the wrong person, therefore they will never accept the outcome of the Primaries. He emphasised that Mr. Bonah’s strong supporter base compels him to contest as independent candidate as the grassroots members are charged.
Spokesperson for the team, Oheneba Philip Amoah also accused some of the Constituency executives of not been fair to them at all in the sense that Mr Bonah has contributed alot for the party and deserve to be elected as the Parliamentary Candidate to lead the Constituency.
