I humbly write to draw your attention to the delay of the declaration of Dompim Electoral Area Election results held on Tuesday 19/12/2023.
According to our 1992 Constitution, the Electoral Commission of Ghana have 72hrs to declare election results but in my case we are in two weeks now and Municipal Director representing Electoral Commission of Ghana for Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly is not able to declare the outcome of Dompim Electoral Area Election.
From information gathered, the Municipal Director who is Mr Ekow Essien is dealing with the camp of my main contender to change the will of the people hence resulting to the delay of the declaration.
Another information reaching me is that, my contender known as Isaac Awuah will be swore in during the inaugration of the next Assembly members which the date is not out yet.
The silence of the Municipal Director for Electoral Commission and the agenda to sworn in Isaac Awuah as the Assembly member for Dompim Electoral Area will not yield a positive outcome within some few day to come.
In order to avoid such occurrence, I humbly request your intervention to call the Municipal Director for Electoral Commission to perform his duties by declaring the results within the next three days.
