Even though the NPP flagbearer race has not been held but a reliable source from the Jubilee house has it that,Dr Mahamodu Bawumia, possible flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party is under pressure to choose his running mate from the Eastern Region if he emerges the winner in the yet to be held flagbearership race.
Names mentioned from the Eastern Region as chanced upon by The Punch Newspaper were the finance minister of the Republic,Mr Ken Ofori Atta and Hon Ursla Owusu , Minister of Communications.
The same source also has it that ,the same group of people are diabolically lobbying for some prominent politicians from the Ashanti Region with the likes of Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum,MP for Bosomtwi and Minister in charge of Education,Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu,MP for Suame and Hon Joseph Osei Wusu,first deputy Speaker and MP for Bekwai Constituency and the Chief of Staff ,Hon Frema Opare .
The source alleged that ,the Jubilee house is just promoting the afformentioned names from the Ashanti Region through all social media handles just to throw dust in the eyes of Ghanaians.
The so-called move is just a mere propaganda peddled to swerve Ghanaians, especially the Ashantis to ensure maximum votes for Dr Mahamodu Bawumia in the flagbearer race, knowing very well that the Jubilee house wouldn’t accept anyone from the Ashanti Region as a running mate.
The forgoing character will compel the Jubilee house to force Dr Mahamodu Bawumia to choose between Ken Ofori Atta and Hon Ursla Owusu as running mate ,this will pave way for President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo and the Akim Mafias to control Dr Mahamodu Bawumia as the flagbearer of the party.
The whole agenda of the Nana Addo led government is to still have a say and control in government even when he is out of power and control.
