Manso Achiase Assembly Member Woos Goldline Mining Ghana limited to construct 8 bridges in Catchment Area

Mr Anning Isaac, Assembly member for Manso Achiase electoral area in the Amansie South District in the Ashanti Region has successfully wooed Goldline Mining Ghana limited to furnish the said area with a whooping eight bridges to facilitate movement of residents and passer byers.

The said area and roads were in a deplorable state and it took the boldness of the assembly member to approach the office of the Gold mining company which has now seen the progress of the road.

Last Thursday,the afformentioned gold mining company cut sod for the construction of 8 number bridges, gutters and culverts at the Aponapon catchments area.

Mr Emmanuel Ababio, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company at the ceremony explained that, the initiative is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to ensure that the residents of Manso Aponapon have easy access to their daily livelihood such as farming, trading and Education, hence the construction of two kilometer road from Manso-Kensere through Wahaso to Aponapon in the Manso-Adubia District within the operational area of the mining company.

According to him, the company has already made available eight hundred bags of cement, ten trips sand, ten trips of stones thirty two tons of iron rods with one concrete mixture to commence the project including the cost of the contractors.

He disclosed that, the company is into operations of Mining and Exploration, Environmental and Land reclamation, Hydrocarbon/Water purification and Treatment, Commercial Agriculture and infrastructure development.
He stated that, the company is poised to confront the problems in the country and succeed by not running away, says they are going to work with foreign partners to sustain and develop the company to ensure that, water bodies are safe.
He stressed the need for Africans to change the way we think and think about the future of the children, while ensuring most of the companies always employ 30% of foreigners and 70%of local people to ensure rapid development through investing in the indigenes and in the near future there would be no potholes and breaking of bridges to remains unattended for a period of time.
Mr Opoku Gyamfi, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area commended the Chief Executive Officer of Goldline Mining company Ltd for the philanthropic works in delivering on corporate social responsibility to improve the standard of living for the residents.
He reminded the stakeholders and other corporate bodies to emulate the shining example of Mr Emmanuel Ababio to complement the government efforts in making life better for the citizenry irrespective of one’s geographical location.
He entreated the citizens not to always waiting for government as their sole provider of development but contributes their quota to the total development of the communities.
