Dr Bawumia’s Wife Blasts NPP: ‘No Future for Young Politicians

Mrs Samira Bawumia, wife of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,Flagbearer aspirant of the NPP has expressed disappointment and concern over the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) perceived lack of opportunities for young politicians.
Speaking at a party event, Mrs. Bawumia lamented that young individuals who have not served the party for an extended period are often marginalized and seen as irrelevant.
According to her, this perception is detrimental to the party’s growth and undermines the energy and zeal of young politicians.
Mrs. Bawumia’s comments come amid speculation about her husband’s presidential ambitions and the future leadership of the NPP.
Mrs. Bawumia emphasized the importance of recognizing and appreciating the hard work and dedication of all party members, regardless of age or tenure.
She urged the party to create opportunities for young politicians to contribute and grow, citing her husband’s 24 years of service to the party as an example.
The former Second Lady’s remarks highlight the ongoing debate within the NPP about leadership succession and the role of younger generations in shaping the party’s future .
“If they are asking my husband’s time of joining the party after 24 years then where lies your future in the party as young politicians?, She asked.
