Dr Frank Amoakohene Electrifies Manhyia South With Retail Campaign , Explains 24Hour Economy Policy In Details

As part of the Ashanti Regional branch of the NDC campaign strategy to propagate the gospel of John Dramani Mahama to the good people of Ghana, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC led a team to the Manhyia South Constituency in the Ashanti region to undertake series of activities, including an election workshop, community engagement, and a rally to mobilize support for the NDC.

Speaking to the media after the community engagement yesterday,the affable political Messiah indicated that,the party is now doing what he described ” a retail campaign”.

According to him ,the retail campaign is a type of campaign strategy adopted to promote the sale of His Excellency John Dramani as the flagbearer of the NDC , announces his new policies which is the 24hour economy policy and the women’s bank and to invite electorates and first time voters to vote massively for the NDC in election 2024 .

He revealed that,the goal for the campaign is to increase votes in the Ashanti Region and to win the Manhyia South constituency for the NDC for the first time with Rita Amonu Gyamfua as the parliamentary candidate.

He was of the view that, if Mr Peter Amewu was able to win the Hohoe Parliamentary seat in the Volta Region for the NPP in election 2020 which has never happened in the political history before then it is possible for Rita Amonu to win the Manhyia South seat in the Ashanti region come December 7th , 2024.

In his address, Dr. Frank Amoakohene stressed on the need to choose the NDC over the NPP, highlighting that the NDC can be remembered for the majority of developmental milestones the region has seen.

Dr Frank Amoakohene, very eloquent, vocal and above all a critical thinker called on all members to embark on door to door campaign in the region to propagate the good message of the NDC so that election 2024 becomes a cool chop for the NDC.

“There would be a lot of opportunities for the youth and women in the Country with John Dramani Mahama as the President of the Republic in 2025 because the 24hour economy policy will create alot of job opportunities for the good people of Ghana. ” Dr Frank Amoakohene stressed.

He however explained that,the 24-Hour economy policy by His, Excellency John Dramani Mahama involves a deliberate process of managing and promoting the growth of economic activities during the evening and night-hours in a manner that balances economic, social, and environmental considerations.

The 24-7 environment according to him, can be viewed as an extremity of urban vitality or an expression of the city’s image and identity as a social, cultural, and economic powerhouse.

It refers to the various economic activities and businesses that primarily operate during the evening and night-hours, such as manufacturing, power engineering, logistics, retail, hospitality, health, social care, or public services, call centres, delivery hubs, creative arts, etc.

He said this economic model by the NDC impacts greatly sectors such as information, telecommunication technology, fintech, business process outsourcing, business to business transactions across borders, entertainment and leisure, dinning, hospitality and health care services provision, transportation and moving services, supermarket, etc.

The strategy and action plan posits that a night-time economy is vital for economic growth especially in the leisure and tourism industries.

Dr Frank Amoakohene stressed that the aim for the 24Hour economy is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and safe environment throughout the day and the night to support local businesses, enhance cultural experiences, and minimize negative impacts on the community and environment.

It also focuses on supporting growth of businesses and industries, fostering entrepreneurship, creating employment opportunities, and encouraging innovative thinking amongst the youth and the business community.

At its nascent stage, the 24-Hour economy involves principally the development of prioritised infrastructure that propels economic activity, security and safety of night life, cultural and social planning that is aimed at sustainable growth, job and opportunities creation, and thereby creating wealth for the people.

He said,the system also refers to an economic policy strategy that aims to create a vibrant and dynamic economy that operates around the clock, with various sectors and industries functioning at different times to maximise productivity and efficiency.
