Dr. Peter Worlanyo Abomah, Senior lecturer, at Methodist University and a former municipal chief Executive (MCE) of Hohoe would be the best candidate to reshape the image of the Guan Constituency.
Dr Peter Worlanyo Abomah has over the years emerged as the undisputed leading candidate to become the first-ever Guan constituency parliamentary candidate for the NDC.
His tremendous charisma and enthusiasm from a young age have appeared to make him step up with great ease than any of his peers.
His meteoric rise began as a branch organizer for the National Democratic Congress from the year 1992 to 1996.
He took his Tertiary by storm by becoming one of the most highly valued and respected executives within a short period as he served as the secretary for the veranda boys and girls association from 1998 to 1992.
After just a year of portraying his leadership skills under the spotlight, he proved himself a cut above the rest as he became the TEIN president of the University of Cape Coast from 2003 to 2004.
Rather than look like a fish out of the water, this young age man turned up to be one of the most dedicated and to date most remembered TEIN presidents of UCC.
In his early days at Methodist University, he was scarcely seen without a smile, and his fearless play epitomized this. His prodigious political nature was quickly spotted and he was made the TEIN Patron of UCC in 2007.
In 2019, he became one of the few executive members of the OTI region and contributed significantly to the creation of the Guan constituency.
For most NDC sympathizers, Abomah is a name that elicits perhaps a greater sense of joy than most in Guan’s long history of producing elite political figures.
