In a significant show of appreciation and continued partnership with traditional authorities, a high-powered delegation led by a senior government representative, together with the Executive Chairman of First Sky Group, Mr. Eric Kutortse, has paid a courtesy visit to the Volta Regional House of Chiefs to formally express gratitude for the chiefs’ immense support during the company’s recent thanksgiving service.
The visit, which took place in an atmosphere of warmth and mutual respect, underscored the enduring importance of collaboration between traditional leadership, the private sector, and government in advancing development across the Volta Region.
Speaking during the engagement, Mr. Eric Kutortse commended the revered chiefs for their unwavering encouragement and support, which he described as instrumental in strengthening the company’s relationship with the people and traditional institutions of the region.
As part of First Sky Group’s commitment to giving back and contributing to the improvement of key public institutions, Mr. Kutortse announced a major infrastructure intervention for the Volta Regional House of Chiefs.
He reaffirmed his commitment to asphalt the internal roads and compound of the House of Chiefs, a project expected to significantly enhance accessibility, improve mobility within the premises, and uplift the overall appearance of the facility.
“Our chiefs have consistently demonstrated leadership and support not only for cultural preservation but also for development. As a company, we are committed to supporting institutions such as the House of Chiefs, which play a pivotal role in the growth of our communities,” Mr. Kutortse stated.
In addition to the pledge by First Sky Group, the leader of the delegation also made firm commitments aimed at improving the state of the House of Chiefs building and its surrounding environment.
He pledged to facilitate a facelift of the House of Chiefs edifice, ensuring that the structure reflects its prestigious status as the seat of traditional authority in the region. Furthermore, he promised the installation of street lights around the facility to enhance visibility, improve safety, and create a more welcoming ambience, especially during evening hours.
The planned interventions are expected to contribute to a more modern and secure environment for both chiefs and visitors who frequent the premises for traditional, administrative, and development-related engagements.
As a symbolic gesture of gratitude, the delegation presented tokens of appreciation in cash and kind to the chiefs and the House of Chiefs. The gesture was described as a sincere acknowledgment of the chiefs’ hospitality, guidance, and continued partnership with both government and corporate institutions.
The meeting was characterized by cordial and interactive discussions, reflecting the strong bond between the traditional authorities and stakeholders committed to regional progress.
The delegation leader used the opportunity to commend the chiefs for their unwavering dedication to the development of the Volta Region, noting that the role of traditional leaders remains indispensable in promoting peace, unity, and socio-economic advancement.
He reaffirmed his commitment to working hand-in-hand with the House of Chiefs, traditional rulers, and the private sector to deliver meaningful progress and sustainable development for the people of the region.
“Our chiefs remain key partners in development. Together with the private sector, we can achieve lasting transformation for our communities. I remain committed to strengthening this collaboration for the benefit of all,” he emphasized.
The Volta Regional House of Chiefs, in response, expressed appreciation for the visit, the generous gestures, and the development pledges made by both First Sky Group and the delegation leader. The chiefs described the commitments as timely and beneficial, particularly in improving the infrastructure and environment of the institution.
The visit marks yet another milestone in the growing partnership between corporate entities, government leadership, and traditional authorities in the Volta Region, reinforcing the shared goal of fostering development, improving public infrastructure, and enhancing the wellbeing of citizens.
As plans begin to take shape for the road asphalting, building facelift, and street lighting projects, residents and stakeholders across the region are hopeful that the initiative will serve as a model for productive collaboration in Ghana’s development journey.
