Former Amansie West DCE and Friends Hold Unity Games for Kwadaso Residents on Christmas

The former District Chief Executive for Amansie West, Hon. Nii Lartey Ollenu and local pals have organized unity games for residents of Kwadaso to mark the Christmas celebration.

 

It happened on Saturday, 29th December, 2024 at Nsiah Asare electoral area.

Ghanaian challenging board game locally referred to as “dame” and trick-taking card game called “Spa” were the sports for the occasion.

Competitors were selected from various zones making up Kwadaso community. Cash prizes were awarded to each and winner at the end of the competition

Mr. Nii Lartey Ollenu described the move as an annual event organized to strengthen unity among residents of Kwadaso.

The unity games happening shortly after the 2024 general elections according to him was timely, since it succeeded in burying political differences among people in the area.

 

The former District Chief Executive used the occasion to admonish youth to avoid all forms of social vices, see themselves as the future of Kwadaso and align themselves with things that will positively impact their lives.

Assemblyman for Nsiah Asare electoral area, Mr Richard Tutu also appealed to those in diaspora to support the initiative with their resources so as to help sustain the initiative.
