In a powerful display of statesmanship and shared values, former President John Agyekum Kufuor has endorsed the EKK Charity Foundation’s upcoming week of intercessory prayers, describing it as a vital step toward national healing and unity.

The foundation, under the leadership of its CEO Dr. Evans Kofi Kwafo, paid a formal visit to the former president at his Kumasi residence to announce the prayer initiative, scheduled for November 10th–16th.

The week-long program will focus on seeking divine guidance for Ghana amidst growing calls for spiritual and social renewal.

President Kufuor warmly welcomed the delegation, describing their work as a continuation of the legacy of service and compassion that Ghana’s development depends on. He commended the foundation’s tireless efforts in supporting the underprivileged and bridging social gaps across communities.

This is the kind of leadership Ghana needs; one that uplifts the vulnerable and puts faith and compassion at the center of development,” Kufuor said.

“Running a foundation like this is no easy task, and I pledge my full support to ensure this vision continues to grow.”

He further appealed to the nation to rally behind the EKK Charity Foundation, emphasizing that it is every Ghanaian’s responsibility to contribute to nation-building, not only economically, but spiritually and morally.

In a gesture that underscored his deep commitment, the former president confirmed his attendance at the upcoming prayer week and urged Ghanaians to participate in large numbers.

“This is bigger than a program. It’s a call to national reflection,” he declared.

As Ghana prepares for this significant week of prayer, the endorsement from one of its most respected elder statesmen serves as a powerful reminder: true leadership is about passing the torch and supporting those who carry it forward.
