The FrankCare Foundation, led by Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, and his wife, Mrs. Juliet Amoakohene, has presented a donation of $1000 to Charlotte Ankomah,a national service nursing trainee, who was involved in an accident while stepping outside the laboratory and was hit by a vehicle, resulting in significant injury to her hip.
Doctors have recommended immediate surgery, which will cost $10,000.
Under the leadership of Dr Frank Amoakohene, The FrankCare Foundation has donated $1,000 as seed funding.
The funds are intended to support Charlotte’s surgery for Avascular necrosis of the left femoral head with secondary osteoarthritis.
Avascular necrosis is a serious medical condition characterized by the death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply.
In Charlotte’s case, the condition affects the left femoral head, leading to secondary osteoarthritis.
This condition can cause significant pain and mobility issues, impacting daily life.
