Government Shows Compassion and Commitment to Adum PZ Fire Victims

In the aftermath of the devastating fire outbreak at Adum PZ in Kumasi, the government has demonstrated its unwavering support for the affected traders. This afternoon, the Minister for the Interior ,Hon Muntaka Mohammed and the Director-General of NADMO visited the fire site, inspecting the extent of the destruction and engaging with the victims.
The visit was a beacon of hope for the affected traders, as the government reassured them of its commitment to providing support during this difficult time. Donations were made to the victims through NADMO and the Ministry of the Interior, aimed at providing immediate relief and restoring some hope.
The swift response, compassion, and commitment displayed by the Hon. Interior Minister and the NADMO Director-General are a testament to the kind of leadership that Ghana needs. Their actions demonstrate a government that is responsive, present, and caring in times of crisis.
This gesture is part of a broader effort to support the victims of the Adum PZ fire. The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has also been actively involved in providing relief to the affected traders. A total of GHC 600,000 has been mobilized to support the victims, including a GHC 500,000 donation from a philanthropic benefactor and an additional GHC 100,000 allocated for urgent support ¹.
The government’s response to the Adum PZ fire outbreak is a step in the right direction, demonstrating its commitment to the welfare of its citizens.
