Hon. Abdul Majeed Dokurgu has initiated the donation of mathematical sets to final year Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) students in the Effia constituency. This act of generosity is part of fulfilling a promise he made during a seminar organized by the municipal educational department on Saturday, 29th June 2024.
During the seminar, Hon. Dokurgu not only awarded cash prizes to the best students from the previous BECE but also committed to supporting the current batch of students. True to his word, he commenced the distribution of mathematical sets today, aiming to aid the students in their preparations for the forthcoming exams.
In his address, Hon. Dokurgu encouraged the students to remain focused and adhere to the rules and regulations of the examination. He emphasized the importance of diligence and integrity, urging the students to perform well in their exams.
Furthermore, Hon. Dokurgu announced a special incentive for the top-performing students. He promised to provide free mattresses to the first 100 students in the constituency who excel in the exams and qualify for boarding school. This initiative is designed to ease the transition for students moving to boarding schools and to motivate them to achieve their best.
Looking ahead, Hon. Dokurgu also made a significant pledge regarding his political aspirations. He assured the students and their parents that if elected as a Member of Parliament in the upcoming elections on December 7th, 2024, he would extend the free mattress program to all newly admitted boarding students in the Effia constituency.
Hon. Dokurgu’s commitment to education and his continuous support for students in Effia is a testament to his dedication to the community. His initiatives aim to inspire and equip the youth, fostering an environment where academic excellence is both recognized and rewarded.
As the BECE approaches, the students of Effia can look forward to not only the immediate support provided by the donated mathematical sets but also the long-term educational incentives promised by Hon. Abdul Majeed Dokurgu.
