Hon. Abubakar Sedik Pays a Courtesy Call on Presidential Staffer with National Best Cocoa Farmer

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Sedik has paid a courtesy call on Hon. Isham AlhassanBonsu, Presidential Staffer in charge of Political Affairs at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC), in Kumasi.

The visit was undertaken in the company of the National Best Cocoa Farmer, Opayin Edward Yeboah from the Ahafo Ano South West District, as a gesture of appreciation for the continuous support and encouragement received from Hon Isham.

Hon. Abubakar Sedik expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Isham for his instrumental role in supporting initiatives that promote cocoa farming and enhance the livelihoods of farmers within the Region. He noted that such support has contributed significantly to the District’s success in producing award-winning cocoa farmers at the national level.

According to the DCE, the presence of the National Best Cocoa Farmer at the meeting was to personally convey appreciation to Hon. Isham.

In his remarks, Hon. Isham congratulated the farmer for the remarkable achievement and commended the leadership of Hon. Abubakar Sedik for prioritising agriculture as a key driver of local economic development. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the cocoa sector and supporting farmers to sustain Ghana’s position as a leading cocoa producer globally.

The National Best Cocoa Farmer, Opayin Yeboah also expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the government, the District Assembly and all stakeholders whose support and guidance contributed to his success, pledging to serve as an ambassador for good cocoa farming practices in the District.
