Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori-Atta ,aka ‘Tomtom’, a top member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has stated emphatically that he is fit to be constituency chairman for Manhyia South in the Ashanti Region.
Haven’t worked as the constituency organizer in the elsewhere Manhyia Constituency it is time for him to take his political career to a different level that is why he is contesting for chairmanship.
He revealed in an interview with the media after he had submitted his form to officially contest the chairmanship position that, the incumbent chairman has stepped down and so therefore he’s capable of occupying that vacant position.
“I have been able to move from one electoral area to another electoral area in all the six electoral areas in the Constituency and the grounds are good for me”.He Stated .
‘Tomtom’ further indicated that,he’s coming with new ideas and everybody in the Constituency know his track record in politics.
What he’s trying to do is to bring unity at the constituency level that was why he organized Easter football community Gala in the Constituency just to bring unity and peace in the area.
According to him,he realized during the community Gala that the Constituency has talented players and he’s trying to help them achieve their goals .
“We are trying to help the youth and do more entrepreneurship program to reshape their activities and fetch them jobs.
We have vision for the youth and plans for the Constituency and we are going to make the Constituency number one in Ashanti Region.
I know I’m going to win though the election is not done yet but I know I’m the chairman for Manhyia South.
I have ran for election in the Constituency and won so I’m open for contest and by 2023 I will be the chairman.”He further noted.
He however preached peace and Unity at Manhyia South Constituency to help the NPP break the eight years rule.
