The Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaben in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Ama Pomaa Boateng, who is also the deputy Minister of Communications and Digitalisation, has expressed confidence in retaining the Juaben seat in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries slated for Saturday, 27th January 2024.
According to her, she is very focused to win the upcoming primaries and subsequently increase her votes to ensure NPP breaks the 8 in the 7th December 2024 general election.
Obaanoa, as she is affectionately called, made the prediction in an interview with the media after successfully going through the vetting and balloting process ahead of the primaries.
The incumbent Juaben MP, who is seeking a fourth term in Parliament, said she had been able to lobby for a number of projects such as road improvement, education, ICT expansion, empowerment of the youth through skills training, employment opportunities, etc., hence she needed an additional term to enable her to continue to do more for the good people of Juaben.
Hon.Ama Pomaa Boateng mobbed by party delegates and supporters after the vetting process.
Obaanoa, who is being challenged by Francis Owusu Akyaw, a mining expert, was confident that the delegates would vote for her considering the developmental projects undertaken by her through the support of key stakeholders.
She, therefore, used the opportunity to express her gratitude to stakeholders and all her constituents for their continuous support.
