In a bid to bolster collaboration and chart a course for comprehensive development, Hon. Safo Nketia, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Krachi East, convened a crucial meeting with the esteemed Chiefs and influential opinion leaders of the municipality. The primary objective of this engagement was to deliberate on key development matters and to fortify the partnership between the local government and traditional authorities.
During the meeting, Hon. Nketia presented a detailed overview of the municipality’s development agenda, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in achieving sustainable progress. He highlighted several significant projects already completed or underway, including the construction of essential infrastructure. This encompasses the rehabilitation of deplorable roads across more than twenty communities, the building of vital footbridges, the establishment of Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHIPS) compounds to improve healthcare access, and the construction and renovation of schools and nurses’ quarters. Furthermore, the MCE underscored the provision of potable water through the construction of boreholes, ensuring that residents have access to safe drinking water.
In addition to infrastructure development, Hon. Nketia addressed the strides made in the agricultural sector. He noted the encouraging growth in agricultural adjustments within Krachi East and reaffirmed the assembly’s commitment to supporting local farmers. This support includes providing fertilizers and essential equipment to enhance agricultural productivity and improve the livelihoods of farmers in the municipality. The MCE expressed his gratitude to the Chiefs for their continuous support and contributions toward the progress of Krachi East. He also reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance, ensuring that the voices and concerns of all stakeholders are considered in the decision-making process.
