Kumasi Girls SHS ’98 Batch Donates to Remar Ghana Rehab Centre

The 1998 Year Group of Kumasi Girls Senior High School has extend a hand of support to inmates of the Remar Ghana Rehabilitation Centre located at Patasi here in Kumasi.

Remar Ghana Rehabilitation Centre has over 200 inmates of orphans, vulnerable children and drug addicts.

The Centre depends on the benevolence of society to feed the inmates and the drug addicts who are undergoing Rehabilitation.

The Ahemaa 98 Year Group as part of their yearly activities decided to include donating to the Centre.

Every End of Year, Ahemaa 98 organises a party to socialise but as mothers and potential mothers, they decided to add donation to vulnerable children before their party.

In 2025 the 98 Year Group donated to the Remar Rehabilitation Home and on 3rd January the Year Group once again extended a hand of support to the Centre.

Some items donated include sacks of rice, sack of cocoa powder, sugar, cartoons of milk, washing powder, Disinfectants, liquid soap, soft drinks, biscuits, Toffees and an undisclosed amount of money.

Ohemaa Abena Nyarko who led a few members of the Ahemaa 98 Year Group to make the donation spoke to Akoma News

Secretary of the Remar Ghana Rehabilitation Centre Nana Yaw, was grateful to the Old Girls of Kumasi Girls SHS for remembering the children and the drug addicts.

He commended them for coming to the centre a second time and encouraged other old students Association to emulate the gesture of Ahemaa 98 Year Group
