The Mayor of Kumasi made a surprise visit to the dressing room of Asante Kotoko after their emphatic 4-1 victory over Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the players and technical team for their impressive performance.
As a gesture of support, the Hon.Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi made a donation to the team and pledged to join them in Bibiani next Sunday when Kotoko faces GoldStars. He also expressed strong optimism about the team’s chances of returning to continental competition soon.
The Mayor encouraged the players to remain focused and win their remaining league matches to draw more supporters back to the stadium. He further announced that he and the Ashanti Regional Minister will begin visiting the various Circles (supporters’ groups) to mobilize fan participation in Kotoko’s activities and rekindle the passion for the club.
