The paramount queen for Denyaseman Traditional Area of the Ashanti Region has urged traditional leaders to contribute to the development of their communities in the wake of the current economic hardship.
Nana Adutwiwaa Bonin III indicated that providing developmental projects at the community levels should not be the sole mandate of government and thus call on various traditional authorities to contribute their quota in that regard.
She made this statement at a ceremony to commission an ultramodern school complex she has built for the Huntado community in the Asante Bekwai Municipality.
Nana Bonin III in an interview with PAG TV’s Emmanuella Amankwah said, she was highly elated to hand over this magnificent edifice to the community, as according to her, would go a long way in nurturing the future generations of Denyaseman and by far Asanteman.
The special ceremony brought together key stakeholders including the Municipal Chief Executive for Bekwai, Nana Amakom-hene, Nana Adankranya hemaa among others.
A section of residents within the Huntado community in an interview expressed their happiness with regards to the initiative by the paramount queen of the area. According to them, Nana Hemaa has since her enstoolment contributed in diverse ways towards ensuring the general wellbeing of people within the Denyase traditional area.
