The ministry of sanitation has been asked to enforce the law guiding sanitation and to make sure all houses in Ghana have toilet facilities.
Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, former constituency chairman of the New Patriotic Party in Afigya Kwabre South in the Ashanti region who made the suggestion further indicated, public toilets are for strangers and not locals, and that is the responsibility of the sanitation ministry to ensure that the law is enforced.
Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah made the suggestion during this year’s World Toilet Day celebration.
He advised citizens to create space for toilets in their various homes and stop using the bush, riverbanks, and uncompleted buildings as a place of convenience.
“Happy World Toilet Day. Amen. Coka, I care.” He concluded.
