Mankranso MP Withdraws Support for Dr. Bawumia Amidst Party Discipline Concerns

In a significant development within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of its presidential primary, Hon. Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah, Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South West, has announced his decision to withdraw support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to Hon. Dapaah, the decision stems from Kwame Baffoe (Abronye), Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP’s insults and the growing indiscipline within the NPP.”

The reference to “Abronye” is presumed to relate to internal party dynamics,particularly casting insults on equally important figures in the party like,Hon Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, among others without any disciplinary action taking against him by party leaders.

The NPP is gearing up for its presidential primary, a process that determines the party’s candidate for the upcoming general elections.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a frontrunner in this contest. The withdrawal of support by a member of parliament could have implications for the dynamics of the primary race and party unity.
