MP for Manhyia South Challenges Shoemaking Graduates to Make Ghana Proud

The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South in the Ashanti Region , Nana Agyei Baffuor Awuah, has issued a stirring challenge to over 35 apprentices who successfully completed the Manhyia South Shoemaking hub project.

The MP urged the graduates to make Ghana proud by utilizing the skills they have acquired to create high-quality products that can compete in the global market.

The Manhyia South Shoemaking hub project was initiated by the former Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, with the aim of alleviating unemployment among the youth in the constituency. The project is part of a broader vision to make the constituency a shoemaking hub in the country, nurturing talent and creating job opportunities for all.

During the launch of the project and graduation ceremony, Nana Agyei Baffuor Awuah suggested that Dichemso Block B be used as a shoemaking hub, providing a central location for the graduates to showcase their skills and produce high-quality products. The MP emphasized the importance of apprenticeship, noting that while education is key to development, apprenticeship is equally crucial in equipping individuals with practical skills that can help them secure decent jobs.

Nana Agyei Baffuor Awuah appealed to the beneficiaries not to disappoint Manhyia South and its residents, who have high expectations of them.
