MP Joana Gyan Cudjoe Urges Constituents to Be Vigilant Against Detractors in Amenfi Central

The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central Constituency in Ghana’s Western Region, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has called on residents to be cautious of individuals spreading falsehoods within the constituency.

Speaking at Wassa Sompre, a community in Amenfi Central, during a week-long health screening exercise in October, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe highlighted that despite the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s electoral successes, certain persons are disseminating lies, purportedly aiming to influence power dynamics ahead of the 2028 elections.

Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe revealed she has received intelligence indicating some individuals are soliciting unapproved fees from apprentices registered for sowing machines and dryers.

She noted unauthorized collections ranging from Gh¢5 to Gh¢10 from beneficiaries, stressing that she had not authorized anyone to collect money for these registrations, which are supposed to be free.

The MP urged affected individuals to reclaim their money, emphasizing her commitment to community development without seeking financial gain from constituents.

Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe reiterated her dedication to advancing Amenfi Central’s development.

She explained the health screening exercise aims to facilitate early disease detection, enabling timely referrals for appropriate treatment. This initiative reflects her ongoing efforts to promote health and well-being in the constituency.
