NDC did not record any single digit vote in the Kumawu by-elections-Dr Frank Amoakohene

The attention of the leadership of the NDC in the Ashanti region has been drawn to an inaccurate post made by Hon. Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor of South Dayi constituency, to the effect that, NDC in the just ended Kumawu by-election recorded single digit votes at some polling stations in the Kumawu constituency. He, in the post, also called for an audit of the branch executives in the constituency.

I wish to by this statement, allay his fears and further put on record that *the party did not record single digit vote in any of the 75 polling stations in Kumawu*. We call on him to reconcile with the minority leader, Hon Ato Forson and his other colleague MPs who spent days in the constituency in aid of a good performance in the by-election.

I wish to implore all media houses and the general public to factcheck the assertion by the MP in his Twitter post, and reconcile same with the final results as published by the regional secretariat and as published by the electoral commission of Ghana.

I wish to reiterate the fact that the NDC in this by-election appreciated in votes by 52.68% whiles the NPP appreciated marginally by ONLY 2.03% even after the massive vote buying and abuse of incumbency in their own stronghold constituency.

I wish to assure all members of the party and well-meaning Ghanaians that the leadership of NDC in the region is fully committed to increasing our gains in the region for victory 2024.

Thank you
Dr Frank Amoakohene
Ashanti Regional Secretary.
