The youth of Sekyere Afram Plains are calling on President John Dramani Mahama to fulfill his campaign promise to appoint Hon. Hajia Nasira Afrah as a deputy minister.
This promise was made during the 2024 elections, and the youth believe it was instrumental in securing a historic victory for Hajia Nasira Afrah, who became the first woman to win the Sekyere Afram Plains parliamentary seat for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The youth emphasized that they delivered on their part by voting overwhelmingly for the NDC, and now it’s President Mahama’s turn to honor his commitment.
They highlighted the constituency’s pivotal role in the NDC’s record-breaking electoral performance, particularly in the Ashanti Region, and urged the President to acknowledge their efforts by appointing Hajia Nasira Afrah as deputy minister.
It’s worth noting that Hajia Nasira Afrah has been actively engaging with the youth in the constituency, promoting unity and development through sports and other initiatives .
The youth’s call for President Mahama to fulfill his promise is a testament to their trust in his leadership and their commitment to the NDC’s vision for the country.
