NEIP CEO Tours Training Hubs to Assess AdwumaWura Programme Progress

The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) CEO, Eric Adjei, alongside the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, have embarked on a tour of various training hubs to assess the progress of the AdwumaWura Programme.

This initiative aims to empower Ghanaian youth with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in entrepreneurship and innovation.

The AdwumaWura Programme is a flagship project designed to support young entrepreneurs, with a focus on creating, tracking, and monitoring businesses annually. The programme offers comprehensive support, including business development training, mentorship, access to start-up capital, and marketing and networking opportunities .

During his tour, Eric Adjei visited the UPSA Training Centre and the Zongo Business Incubator, where he interacted with participants and witnessed firsthand their enthusiasm and commitment to turning their innovative ideas into reality.

He expressed his optimism about the programme’s potential to cultivate a genuine entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ghana .

The AdwumaWura Programme is expected to create approximately 40,000 jobs over a four-year period and support 10,000 young entrepreneurs annually.

The initiative is part of the government’s efforts to address youth unemployment and promote economic growth.

The Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment emphasized the government’s commitment to tackling youth unemployment and equipping young people with skills and opportunities for economic empowerment. The programme is being implemented by NEIP, in collaboration with development partners, private sector leaders, civil society organizations, and the youth .

The AdwumaWura Programme is a testament to the government’s dedication to nurturing the ambitions and ideas of Ghanaian youth, providing them with the necessary support to drive national progress and economic growth .
