The Deputy Ashanti Regional Secretary who is also a Regional Secretary hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon Mathew Kojo Njourkone has called on members of NDC and the general public to ignore the video of angry demonstrators being circulated in the social media to create an erroneous impression that there is a problem at the Ashanti Regional Office of the Party.

According to Hon. Njourkone, the video in circulation is not a recent event. He recalled that, the incident occurred about three years ago when some members of the party were seeking to present a nomination form of their parliamentary aspirant to the Regional Office.

The Secretary explained that when the incident occurred the video of that occurrence was shared on several platforms including the Facebook which is played back every year just like other post on Facebook.

He noted however that, some distractors of the party circulate the video to
create an erroneous impression that it is a recent event.

The Deputy Chief scribe and Regional Secrtary hopeful gave the assurance that the Region is relatively stable and peaceful and party officials at all the levels – namely, Branch, Ward, Constituency and the Regional levels are actively working to ensure that the structures are sound and solid enough to effectively deliver victory for the Party.

Hon Njourkone called on members and sympathizers of the party in the Region to remain resolute in their support for the great NDC Party to ensure victory in 2024 to save Ghana from further retrogression.
