Kwadwo Nsafoah Poku, one of the ten aspirant in the NPP Presidential Primaries is much disappointed about the votes he got during the super delegates’ conference held over the weekend.
Mr Nsafoa who couldn’t make it to the first five aspiring candidates for the presidential primary on November 4,2023 has stated that he expected more votes than he received.
Speaking on Asanteman fm in Kumasi with Sir Mike on his dubbed Asanteman Dawuro,he said that several delegates had assured him of their votes.
He stated that he went to the delegates and engaged them and that they assured him that they believed in his policies and programmes but this didn’t reflect during the delegates conference.
He added that some aspirants also engaged delegates not to vote for him but rather vote for someone who has been in the party for a long time.
He also called on the President to ask the North East Minister to resign.
“The only place that was unfair and we are trying to address internally is North East. For me, I am going to call on the President to ask the Regional Minister to resign because he supervised an election that contravened the rules of the party.
The party said nobody should vote and show their ballot. There should be no intimidation, people should be allowed to vote free. That didn’t happen in the North East, Kwadwo Nsafoah Poku stated.”
He continued that,in North East, Alan’s boy was beaten just because he tried to prevent people from showing their votes after casting.
