Elected Assembly Members in the Asokwa Municipality have unanimously endorsed their colleague, Oscar RICHES to contest and be voted for as 2nd Vice chairman of the Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP).
At a press conference Wednesday afternoon, the elected members in unison touted the potentials of their colleague.
They noted that Mr RICHES was adept to operational activities of the Party and could use his influence as well as work ethic to achieve more for the party.
Spokesperson for the group and Presiding Member at the Asokwa Municipal Assembly, Elliot Fosu Barnor said, “Our brother has been through the mill of the NPP having held several positions in same as well as mobilising support for same”.

Mr Barnor recounted the sacrifices of their colleague who is currently the Assembly man for old Asokwa.
He noted that Mr RICHES with support from other Assembly members across the Ashanti Region mobilised support for the NPP in the 2016 elections.
This activity and subsequent ones that the aspiring second Vice-Chair led in 2020, Mr Barnor intimated culminated in the victory of the NPP in that year’s general elections.
“These qualities put Mr RICHES far above any of the persons contesting for the 2nd Vice chairman position in the Ashanti NPP”, the spokesperson noted.
ASOKWA CONSTITUENCY EXECUTIVES:
Earliest on at the constituency office of the Asokwa NPP same day, executives of the constituency welcomed Mr Oscar RICHES to their meeting and prayed for him.
Chairman Benjamin Fosu Nkromah speaking on behalf of the executives said the constituency was proud that its members were running for positions in the regional level.
So far, he noted that, Mr Asare Bediako was going for Chairmanship of the region, Oscar RICHES as 2nd Vice chairman, Paul Kwabena Yandoh as Deputy regional secretary and Francis Adomako, who is contesting to be maintained as regional organiser of the Ashanti NPP.
“I urge you, Oscar RICHES, to display the good qualities synonymous with persons from Asokwa and campaign with realistic policies since the Vice-Chairmanship position was only complimentary to that of a Chairman”, the constituency chairman stated.

Mr Oscar RICHES thanked the Asokwa executives as well as the elected Assembly Members for endorsing and showing support for his bid to become 2nd Vice chairman of the NPP.
He promised to abide by the advice and admonitions given to him by members of the executives of Asokwa NPP.
“I am determined to make Asokwa proud and I am contesting to win and use my skill to support whoever is selected chairman for Ashanti NPP so we can work towards breaking the 8 year power cycle”, the aspirant posited.
