The Oti Regional Minister, Hon. John Kwadwo Gyapong, has begun a familiarization tour in the region, starting with the Kadjebi District Assembly.
The tour focuses on discussing developmental projects and improving Internally Generated Funds (IGF) to boost income for the district’s beneficial initiatives.
In an interview with Broadcast Journalist Ibrahim Nsor, Minister Gyapong emphasized the importance of district assembly staff learning how to maximize revenue generation. He urged them to reduce their reliance on the common fund for development, stating that the district has the potential to generate more income for growth and development.
Minister Gyapong called on all Kadjebi District Assembly workers to cooperate and work diligently to increase IGF, which will enhance development in the district. He encouraged staff to explore new strategies for generating funds to facilitate further improvement.
The district coordinator for Kadjebi District Assembly appealed to Minister Gyapong regarding the need for fire safety measures at the assembly and fire service to protect properties during fire outbreaks.
The coordinator expressed concerns about the government’s attention to this critical issue.
