The Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Suame, Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has described it as a big lie, a claim that he has plotted with two others to prosecute Hon Kennedy Agyapong, for the murder of Hon J.B Danquah, former MP for Abuakwa North and Ahmed Suale.
According to the claim, Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, Lawyer Gabby Otchere Darko and Lawyer Asante Bediatuo have threatened Hon Kennedy Agyapong to withdraw from the presidential race to avoid such prosecution.
Speaking to the media, Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu described it as a palpable lie, calculated to tarnish his image and to being the party into public ridicule.
According to him, there is no iota of truth in the claim since he has never attended such meeting at the Flagstaff House with Lawyer Gabby Otchere Darko and Lawyer Asante Bediatuo to pressure Hon Kennedy Agyapong to withdraw from the race.
The Majority Leader disclosed that on the faithful day, the alleged meeting was held, he was in Kumasi while President Nana Akuffo Addo and Bediatuo were in Mozambique adding that Gabby had travelled to the United Kingdom.
He described it as an attempt to soil his image while the party is preparing to elect it’s flagbearer in November.
Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu therefore urged Ghanaians to disregard such allegation since he had never attended such meeting with an intention to pressure Hon Kennedy Agyapong to withdraw from the presidential race.
