His. Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo, has urged to consider Mr. Ntim Twumasi Kwaku aka NTK, Member of Peoples Living with Disability (PLDs) and as their own and second vice Chairman of the Ejisu constituency of the ruling New Patriotic Party to be considered with an appointment in his second term of government as one of their own.
Mr. Clifford Owusu Ansah secretary to the Grateful Hearts Disabilities Association, in the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) wing of the disables in Ashanti region, speaking with the media made a passionate appealed to the president to consider his outstanding performance in the party at the constituency level as the second vice in championing the basic needs of the Party at the grassroots level, and believe if given an appointment in government he could do better.
The group pleading with the president to put into consideration the positions including Municipal Chief executive for Ejisu, Ministerial/deputy minister at gender ministry or CEO /deputy CEO of any sector that will be beneficial to PWD’s and Ghanaians in general.
Ntim Twumasi Kwaku is a Masters degree holder in public administration(MPA) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
He disclosed that, Mr. Ntim Twumasi being member of Grateful Hearts Disabilities Association, says though being a disabled, he is one of the two patrons championing the affairs of the Association to make it vibrant, and an Ex-military Officer British army, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NTK ventures, Tescon patron at Ejisu Spiritan University College, Rural Development College and midland uni College and also government appointee at Ejisu Municipal Assembly.
He noted that, in spite of his disability, he is able to perform all these duties creditably even beyond his constituency in addressing issues affecting disabilities by championing their welfare.
He revealed that, NTK was selected among those selected for the Municipal Chief Executive position for Ejisu municipality in the Ashanti region at the jubilee house in the first term of president Akuffo Addo’s government but because some reasons known to the appointment committee he was denied of the position.
According to him, the Association is aware that in this country a member of PWDs had ever been appointed to hold a ministerial position which to them he performed creditably, and for that matter, sees it appropriate, should Mr. Ntim Twumasi be given any appointment in one of the ministries like gender in the next government of President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo to represent and help address challenges facing Persons living with disability (PWDs) in the country.
