Sekyere Kumawu DCE Commend Vice President, Education Minister For Gifting Bodomase SHTS With School Bus

Mr.Samuel Addai Agyekum, District Chief Executive for Sekyere Kumawu in the Ashanti Region has commended the vice President of the Republic,Dr. Mahmoud Bawumiah and the Minister of Education,Dr.Osei Yaw Adutwum for considering Bodomase Senior High Technical School as one of the schools who benefited from the free school buses that were distributed to some selected schools last Monday.

According to him,the school bus will help the entire school to travel with ease and also used to serve the intended purpose of the government and for that matter the Education Ministry.

Mr.Addai Agyekum again lauded Dr Yaw Osei Yaw Adutwum, for his role in transforming the nation’s education to be at par with other developed countries.

He said, the NPP government is determined to do everything possible to transform the nation through education so that Ghanaians especially the youth could compete in the job market across the globe and knows very well that students from Bodomase Senior High Technical School won’t be Left out.

As the District Chief Executive,he will adopt good maintenance culture for the vehicle to last longer and also promised to ensure that the vehicle be put to good use to serve the purpose of its procurement.

Background

The Government of Ghana through the vice president and the education Ministry on Monday 1st February,2022 distributed 150 vehicles to selected Senior High Schools (SHS’s) and some Agencies across the country at a ceremony in Accra.

The vehicles which comprised of 100 buses and 50 pickups are to help in teaching and learning in schools and also to promote the development of education in the country.

This brings to 1,334 the number of vehicles the government has distributed since 2020 to SHS, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors of Education, Heads of Technical Institutes and Agencies under the Ministry.
