Raph Agyepong, a leading member of Team Ken and the biological brother of Hon. Kennedy Agyepong, has issued a stern warning that a repeat of previous political confrontations could occur should his brother feel cheated in the ongoing presidential primary process.

Speaking in an interview with The Punch newspaper, Raph Agyepong stated that while the electoral process so far has been largely commendable, any perceived injustice against Team Ken would not be taken lightly.

According to him, the conduct of the elections to date has been generally peaceful and transparent, with no reports of intimidation, fear, or favoritism. He stressed that this positive trend must be sustained until the very end of the process to preserve the credibility of the exercise and the unity of the party.

“The process so far has been good. There has been no intimidation, no fear, and no favoritism, and we expect that same standard to be maintained until the end,” he said. “However, if my brother, Kennedy Agyepong, feels cheated this time, there will definitely be a repeat showdown.”
Raph Agyepong emphasized that his comments were not intended to undermine the electoral process but rather to underscore the importance of fairness, transparency, and respect for the will of delegates.
Expressing strong confidence in Team Ken’s chances, he revealed that the campaign team had engaged extensively with delegates across the country and was optimistic about the outcome of the presidential primary.
“We have spoken to the delegates, we have listened to them, and we believe they have also taken our message to heart,” he noted. “Based on the feedback we have received, we are confident that Kennedy Agyepong has won this contest.”
He described Hon. Kennedy Agyepong as a candidate with a bold vision, strong grassroots appeal, and the courage to speak frankly on national issues—qualities he believes resonate deeply with party delegates and the broader electorate.
Raph Agyepong further called on party leadership and election officials to ensure that all laid-down rules and procedures are strictly adhered to, stressing that the integrity of the process is paramount to maintaining peace and unity within the party.
As tensions rise ahead of the final outcome of the presidential primary, political observers say such comments reflect the high stakes involved in the contest and the intense emotions surrounding it. Many have urged all contenders and their supporters to exercise restraint and allow due process to prevail.

The coming days, therefore, will be critical as party members await the final results, with hopes that transparency and fairness will prevail to avert any post-election disputes and safeguard party cohesion.
