Following his previous interview, the self-proclaimed dancehall king of Ghanaian music, Shatta Wale, has garnered a lot of attention.
There were a lot of revelations made by Shatta regarding other musicians.
Ghanaian hip-life artist Kwaw Kese was one performer who took the time to respond to what Shatta said.
Kwaw Kese claimed that while Wale’s career is stagnating, his colleagues, like Stonebwoy, are making significant strides in the world and selling Ghana negatively.
Even worse, Kwaw Kese continued to mock Shatta Wale’s musical style, saying that it could not connect with a worldwide audience the way Stonebwoy’s could.
He claims that, despite creating meaningless music that defies convention, Shatta Wale considers himself a dancehall artist. In a video, the Bodambo hitmaker said,
“Those stupid songs you compose cannot take you anywhere. Stonebwoy is big things with the world…if you claim you be dancehall artiste and you are doing ‘Kpuu Kpaa’ then you be ‘john’”.
So far, Shatta Wale hasn’t reacted to anything about what Mr. Abodam said.,
