The Ashanti Regional Organiser for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Adomako has charged persons contesting in this weekend’s constituency elections to conduct and comport themselves well ahead of the polls.
He also asked them to be mindful of how they take the outcomes of the polls.
In a release copied to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper, Mr Adomako noted that how they handle and comport themselves as aspirants before and after the polls would make unity easy or impossible for the larger party.
The full statement from the regional organiser is published beneath.
STATEMENT FROM FRANCIS ADOMAKO, ASHANTI REGIONAL ORGANISER FOR NPP:
Our party, is set to cross another hurdle in the organizational processes ahead of 2024 general elections.
As a party, we have firm belief in democracy, as that has been our practice of electing our leaders, at the various levels, since 1992.
These elections, are not the first, and won’t be the last. In every competition, there shall surely be casualties.
However, the interest of the party is always supreme, and that is why, we usually come together to work for the ultimate after every electioneering process.
As the Regional Organizer of the party in it’s stronghold, I would like to seize this opportunity, to wish every aspirant, the very best of luck ahead of the constituency elections.
May we conduct ourselves, in a manner that shall foster unity, after the process.
