Over hundred QUEENS in Ashanti including those in charge of paramountcies and other traditional areas have commended the Vice President for showing support to women.
They also expressed their appreciation to the office of the Chief of Staff for prioritising their issues and offering support to them.
Nana Agyakoma Difie II, Mampongmanhemaa speaking at a dinner organised for them by the Ashanti Regional Women’s Wing at the Beauty Queen Hotel in Santasi thanked the Vice President, Dr Bawumia and Madam Frema Osei Opare, Chief of staff at the Presidency for their show of support.
“We are grateful to the Vice President and the Chief of Staff who continue to support our endeavours and we are very hopeful that they would this year assist us with initiatives that would make our administration smooth”, Nana Agyakoma Difie noted.
WOMEN’S ORGANISER:
Speaking to the media after the dinner, Nana Ama Ampomah, Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser for the NPP praised government for prioritising women issues.
She also commended the Office of the Vice President for offering support to the Women’s wing and the Queen mothers to make their work easier.
The NPP regional executive thanked the Chief of Staff for offering assistance to her outfit since 2017 and ensuring that Queen mothers and market women are taken good care of.
“Today’s dinner has been made possible by the support from the Office of the Vice President and the Chief of Staff and I am confident that we will see more of such kind gestures this year and beyond”, Madam Ampomah stated.
VEEP REPRESENTATIVE:
MR Fred Oware, special representative of the Vice President at the dinner said the Veep was committed to seeing to the wellbeing of traditional leaders.
Queens and Queen mothers, he noted played vital roles in the administration of their traditional areas.
He promised continued support from the Veep to make their administration less stressful.
“The Vice President intends using Ashanti as a base since he is now a son to Otumfuo and he would surely make himself available to you so he can learn more of your challenges and address same”, Mr Oware intimated.
