The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi, has criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Bosiako popularly called Wontumi for belittling the Asante Kingdom and their King.
According to him, NDC as a political party has nurtured its members so well that it would be difficult for them to make comparisons let alone to speak against the overlord of Asante.
Nana Kwasi said, “We, NDC members are well nurtured and cultured, it would be the last thing of our lives to undermine the integrity of Asanteman.
“We do appreciate the votes we get from the Ashanti and we will provide our services for the betterment of Asanteman anytime we are in government.”
Chairman Nana Kwasi made this observation in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital when addressing members after a successful 24-hour sensitization walk led by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama today.
