Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has described the late former President, Prof John Evans Atta Mills, as an embodiment of humility, honesty and selflessness, saying his legacy serves as a guideline for the present and future generation.
The Presidency of the late former President, he said, was characterized by commitment to good governance, social justice and rule of law, adding that his policies and initiatives were driven by a deep concern for the welfare of Ghanaians.
The Asakyihene, Nana Mensah Bonsu, who deputized Asantehene at The John Evans Atta Mills’ 10th anniversary commemorative lecture held July 27, 2023, at KNUST in Kumasi, said the late former President was not only a unifier but also sort to foster harmony among diverse communities.
Otumfuo, therefore, urged that Ghanaians do not only celebrate his accomplishment but also recommit themselves to his values and principles, and ensure that they strive for a Ghana where justice, equity and prosperity are the cornerstones of collective efforts.
