The Ashanti Youth Caucus,a pressure group in the Ashanti region led by Mr. Frank Basoah, is set to make a significant donation to the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, on Akwasidae at the Manhyia Palace.
The donation, scheduled for tomorrow, will include water, assorted drinks, schnapps and a cash donation.
The Ashanti Youth Caucus’s donation is in support of the Akwasidae festival, a significant cultural event in the Ashanti Kingdom. The group’s gesture demonstrates their respect for the Asantehemaa and the rich cultural heritage of the Ashanti people.
The youth group will use the platform to appeal to President John Dramani Mahama to advise the Attorney General and the Chief Justice to fast-track the case of Dr. Kwabena Duffour’s Bank. The group believes that resolving the case will create employment opportunities for unemployed youth, thereby reducing unemployment in the region.
“We are making this donation to show our respect for the Asantehemaa and to support the Akwasidae festival,” said Mr. Frank Bassoah, President of the Ashanti Youth Caucus. “We also hope that our appeal to the President will be considered, and the case of Dr. Kwabena Duffour’s Bank will be resolved soon, creating jobs for our unemployed youth.”
