The District Chief Executive for Atwima Kwanwoma District in the Ashanti region has lauded the president of the republic,Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo for bringing development to their doorsteps.
Speaking to the District Chief Executive for the area,Nana Okyere Tawiah Antwi noted that, looking at the three years of  stay in government,the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly has engaged in alot of developmental projects,some  ongoing,others  completed.
Speaking to The Punch,he said ,there has been a lot of improvement in the area adding that his predecessor did alot to project the good image of the Assembly and is about time he also does his best to project the district.
In terms of Education,he said alot has been done in the district to ensure that students get conducive place to receive instructions.
He further noted , physical classroom blocks have been completed to accommodate free SHS students and those at the basic level
Health
“Since we assumed office,the coronavirus  was at it peak so we put alot of measures in place by providing nose masks,hand sanitizers, liquid soaps, Veronica buckets and going on sensitization to ensure that people abide by the safety protocols governing COVID-19.
This according to him has helped the district in recording less  cases of death as far as the dreaded coronavirus pandemic is concerned.
“We have alot of CHP compounds and hospitals to address the health needs of our people,some ongoing,others completed”He said.
He revealed that,they don’t just  build the health facilities alone but with nurses quarters and other facilities.
 Water and Sanitation
“Because of the COVID-19,we are facing challenges with the private individuals who are partnering us to provide free water supply to ensure frequent wash of hands because they incur some cost but aside that,there are a lot of boreholes and mechanized pipes in the district that give access to water supply to our people.
He announced that broken down boreholes are being repaired and the district is drilling more boreholes to ensure enough water supply in the area.
Electricity
‘I can say that with the exception of few areas, almost all of the communities I serve have light.’He indicated.
He however lauded the government and the member of parliament for the development and pledged that going forward,the district will see a lot of physical development and progress.
