You will bear the Consequences If Your School Records Covid-19 Positive Case

The Suame Municipal Director of Education , Pastor Anthony Anyamesem-Poku, has advised authorities of private institutions to put in place measures to strictly adhere to the Covid-19 protocols.

Failure to do same, according to him, any positive case of the pandemic in their schools will affect their operations.

Pastor Anyamesem-Poku, gave the advice during the opening session of Covid-19 workshop for private schools at New Suame in Kumasi.

The programme, which was under the auspices of Ghana Education Service (GES) and funded by government was attended by more than 70 headteachers and headmasters of both basic, Senior high and vocational and technical schools in the municipality.

He disclosed government has provided Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) to both private and public schools nationwide.

This, according to him, aims at assisting various schools to help fight the deadly virus which is traumatising the world.

According to him, the schools should help make their surroundings more safer than homes

“Government has provided both private and public schools with PPEs to fight the virus. You will bear the consequences if you misuse them to record positive case’ Pastor Anyamesem-Poku said.

On her part, Mrs Constance Amankwaa, Suame Municipal Director of National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE), said the schools should restrain children from using their hands to pick rubbish at compound.

According to her, authorities should put in place mechanisms to ensure a hygienic environment in their schools.

Mrs Amankwaah asked headteachers and headmasters to devise possible ways of improving sanitation in their schools .

Pastor Charles Gyamfi, Suame Municipal SHEP Coordinator urged the participants to put in mind that Covid-19 is real therefore they should be cautious in their activities.
